Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma, Inc. (Inc.) announces Jennifer R. Edwards as Womens Business Center Assistant at its Oklahoma City location.
A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK, Edwards holds a BA in Journalism/Public Relations with a Minor in Sociology. Her diversified professional experience includes serving the Sarkeys Foundation as executive assistant and Project Woman Coalition, Inc., as public relations associate. Edwards is also an Adjunct Professor at the College of Arts and Sciences, OU.
In 2006, REI was the recipient of a U. S. Small Business Administration award to facilitate the expansion of its WBC services. Today, WBC services are available statewide from two locations, Durant and Oklahoma City. WBC services include training workshops, special events, one-on-one counsel and a wide variety of resources to help women entrepreneurs and other small businesses start or expand their companies.
It takes a tremendous amount of work, scheduling and organization to coordinate training workshops applicable to both the beginner and advanced business owner, said Sherry Harlin, business development director. Jennifers strong organizational skills and her extensive experience will be a great asset to REI and WBC clients.
Jennifer Edwards resides in Moore, enjoys her family, loves the arts and is active with the Leadership Moore, Norman Next and other community organizations.
