Kisling brings a lot of experience to REI. A graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness, he served as USDA Rural Development State Director for the past eight years, managing a program budget of $453 million invested in rural utilities, businesses and housing across Oklahoma. His experience also includes serving as field representative for U. S. Senator Jim Inhofe from 1995 to 2001.
As State Director for Rural Development, Brent traveled thousands of miles each month to promote economic development in rural Oklahoma so traveling the distance to visit with communities and businesses is second nature to him, said Congressman Frank Lucas. He also has an agricultural and small business background so he relates well to the distinct challenges faced by rural Americas communities, especially in todays volatile economy. REI has an incredible line of services and it was great to hear that Brent will be focused on making these services accessible to every business and community in northwestern Oklahoma.
Kisling resides in Enid with his wife, Jennifer and two children, Layne, age 11 and Bree, eight years old. The Kislings own and operate one of the states largest Bed and Breakfast in downtown Enid.
