The Fifth Annual Holiday Biz Showcase is scheduled to be held in Durant in November, according to Dr. Barbara Rackley, coordinator of the Womens Business Center of Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma, Inc. (REI). The showcase will serve to acquaint the community with local businesses and their products, said Dr. Rackley. The showcase is free to the public.
Oklahoma businesses will display a wide range of products and services, including skin care, gourmet foods, monogrammed clothing, purses, jewelry and much more. Customers may purchase or order products and services. Gift certificates for holiday giving will also be available.
The showcase is scheduled from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2007, at the Womens Business Center at the headquarters of Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma Headquarters, 2912 Enterprise Boulevard. Although the showcase is basically planned for women, all business owners and entrepreneurs are invited to attend, said Rackley. This is a great opportunity for businesses to display their products and services that will make excellent holiday gifts.
The showcase is co-sponsored by the Durant Area Chamber of Commerce, Durant Main Street, OSU Cooperative Extension, SE Center For Regional Competitiveness, Oklahoma Small Business Development Center and REIs Womens Business Center. The Women’s Business Center is funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
If you are interested in booth space, please contact REI no later than Monday, November 10. Please provide contain business name, contact person, address, telephone e-mail address, what service or product you will feature, and whether or not you will be taking orders. Vendors will be provided a 6-foot table which can be decorated to suit the vendor. Booth space is free to vendors.
