REI Oklahoma invites the public to the 5th Annual Cruisin for a Cure Charity Car Show, which will be held on Saturday September 14th to benefit the March of Dimes and Colton’s Main Street Run. The Car Show will be held at the Choctaw Event Center on Hwy 69/75 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Automotive enthusiasts are invited to come out and enjoy a day of hot rods, food and music. Show hours are from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Car Show entry registration is 8am to noon. The first 50 registered cars, trucks and motorcycles receive a commemorative Car Show dash plaque and goody bag. Spectator entry is free however; we will be accepting any donations for the benefit causes.
“Over the last four years we have been able to contribute more than $43,000 to the March of Dimes.” said Scott Dewald, REI Oklahoma President & CEO. “Cruisin for a Cure is our major fundraiser and we are fortunate to have such great sponsors who continue to help us expand this family friendly event.”
Car Show awards range from best engine to the best truck, to street rod, convertible and more. Over 65 trophies are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place with 20 classes including the Mustang class, two motorcycle classes and the Camaro class.
A DJ will be playing classic rock-n-roll throughout the event, and there will be a BBQ lunch available for only $5. Car Show participants will be eligible for raffle giveaways and everyone will have an opportunity to participate in the 50/50 drawing.
All makes and models of vehicles are welcome and interested Car Show participants can register by calling 800.658.2823 or when they arrive the day of the event at $20.00 per vehicle. 100% of proceeds from this event will be donated to these two very worthy causes.
